FAQs

Do you take insurance?

At this time, I do not accept insurance. I feel that you and I should be allowed to determine your treatment needs based upon your unique situation rather than potentially limited by guidelines set from insurance companies. Billing insurance requires us practitioners to diagnose from the intake session to justify payments, therefore, becomes a part of your permanent medical record. Having a diagnosis can be validating and sometimes stigmatizing, which motivates me to ensure that this process is completely at your control.

What are your pricing for services?

My rate for individual services is $150 for a 50-minute session. I accept cash, credit card, and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Occasionally, I will offer adjusted rates based on circumstance (please see the following about sliding scale). Another option is that I can help you get connected with folks that offer lower cost therapy as your treatment is my priority.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

A sliding scale is a fee structure offered to those who meet low-income requirements. I strongly believe in making therapy accessible, so please do not hesitate to inquire about openings for sliding scale if you are experiencing financial strain. I use the “Green Bottle Method” by Alexis J. Cunningfolk as a guideline for determining sliding scale rates.
